The University of Tennessee wanted a world class competitive swimming venue. With that in mind a design was developed to provide a deep water swim tank with good natatorium acoustics, a range of ambient temperatures zoned to accommodate swimmers and spectators, and a strategy to control chlorine offgassing, all shortcomings of recently constructed swimming facilities. The building includes a 10 meter dive tower and diving tank, grandstand seating for 1250, and offices for coaches and staff.Photo Credits: (Allan Jones Swim Facility) Massengill Photography
