The Eleventh Street Parking Garage project filled a number of needs for the University of Tennessee.

  • It provided 1400 badly needed commuter parking spaces for University students.
  • It provided shell space at Cumberland Avenue level for the Campus Security offices.
  • It serves as a gateway between Knoxville’s downtown and the University’s east entrance on Cumberland Avenue.
  • It connects the Hill south of Cumberland Avenue with important campus elements to the north of Cumberland
  • Located adjacent to World’s Fair Park, it provides community parking for weekend and evening events.
  • Its detailed masonry and precast facade holds dialogue with both the collegiate gothic buildings on the Hill and Knoxville’s 19th century mercantile center.
  • Joint venture project with Barber McMurry Architects.
